Nelson lives with his wife in their own house, located in the Tiguindala area of the Chillanes canton. They live alone because their children have left and formed their own households. Nelson always has been characterized as a serious, responsible, hardworking, honest, and enterprising person.
Nelson has worked growing blackberries for approximately eight years. Previously he grew other varieties of tropical fruits, tomato, passion fruit, and bananas. That gave him good results, although now he has focused only on growing blackberries because they do not require much care and give good results.
Despite his age, Nelson has much good humor and and agility to carry out his agricultural work, which he hopes to continue doing. Therefore he is requesting a loan to blackberry seeds to plant, fertilizers, mulch, baskets, work tools and to pay the workers who help to maintain and care for the crops until harvest.
