A loan helped to purchase organic fertilizers and insecticides to improve his yield.

Roque Walter's story

Roque Walter is 69 years old, married, has five children, all adults, and his spouse is a homemaker. They live in the parish of San Placido, in the canton of Portoviejo, an agricultural place par excellence of hardworking people who work at the tasks of the fields and raise animals.

He is a very hardworking man who seeks the way to earn his resources and, with them, to get his family ahead and, although life in the countryside is very difficult due to the lack of resources and attention from the state to the rural people, he manages to continue with his efforts.

He works in agriculture. They have a number of hectares with cacao, plantain, banana, orange and other crops. With the help of the loans, he hopes to improve them, and so, to improve the quality of his yield.

He uses natural irrigation systems as well as organic fertilizers and insecticides with which he tries to protect the environment.

This loan is to purchase organic fertilizers and insecticides to improve his yield.
