Amal's story

Amal’s Journey: Stitching a New Future After Loss

Amal, a 55-year-old Syrian widow and mother of two, fled to Jordan as an asylum seeker after her husband was tragically killed in Syria. Faced with the immense challenge of supporting her children on her own, Amal was determined to provide them with a stable life and meet their basic needs.

With resilience and a strong spirit, Amal partnered with a friend to start a small sewing business. As her confidence and skills grew, so did her ambition. She began marketing her own creations through social media platforms like WhatsApp, attracting customers with her craftsmanship.

She seeks a 400 JDs loan to purchase sewing materials and equipment, which will enable her to expand her production and attract more clients. Her ultimate dream is to establish her own sewing workshop, a space where she can grow her business, support her family, and create a brighter future for herself and her children.

This loan is special because:

It gives opportunity to Syrian refugees who have fled the war in Syria.
