A loan helped to buy dried food to sell.

Yasin's story

Yasin is a refugee mother of 5 children who all are school going and stay with her in Mayo. Today her life is much better and she is a happy woman.

She is a farmer who grows maize, millet and sorghum. Besides farming she also has a stall that mainly sells dried food. At the moment the stock is really little.

She would like to add dried food stock to the business so that with this addition she will be able to boost her sales and bring in a variety of dry foodstuffs. This will enable her pay school fees and offer her children a better life.

Her dream is to expand and have a shop one day. She is very glad for all the support that VisionFund and Kiva have given her.

This loan is special because:

It helps refugees in Uganda rebuild and sustain their livelihoods.
