A loan helped to purchase more shoes and slippers to increase her business.


Isha's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 36-year-old Isha from Port Loko Branch. She is a married businesswoman with three children between the ages of 4 and 15 years old. Two are currently attending school. She started this business to take care of her children.

Isha runs a retail business and sells shoes and slippers to her customers around the community. She has been in this business for the past 7 years. Isha says that her challenge is the increase in cost of goods and commodities in the country.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more shoes and slippers to increase her business. Isha says that the extra income from this loan will help to improve her family.

In the future she would like to expand to a larger scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
