Gilda is a member of the Flor de Itapuami group. Her primary source of income is the store she has in her house and also selling shaved ice. Thanks to this business, she can get her daughter and three grandchildren ahead. After the loans of previous cycles, and thanks to her effort and dedication, her business grew a lot. She was able to expand more and purchase more merchandise.
She is very grateful to her group for being a source of inspiration and support to continue on. She comments that each one of them is achieving her goals, helping each other mutually.
She dreams of continuing to grow more each day and of converting her retail space into a central supply point for her community.
With her current loan, she plans to invest in merchandise to restock her store, such as milk, sugar, yerba, rice, flour, eggs, baked goods, and meat.
Other members of the group work selling shaved ice, cleaning products, refreshing remedies, desserts, or have stores.
