Jose Roberto is 45, lives in a common-law marriage with his wife, and has four children. He lives with his family in the municipality of Tocoa, in the Colón Department. For 14 years he has dedicated himself to agricultural work, mainly growing oil palm of excellent quality. He sells his harvest in the local market and to oil processors.
He is requesting a loan from ODEF for the amount of 25,000 HNL to invest in the purchase of fertiliser and pesticide, and to pay for labourers who will give his plantation good care.
This loan will help Jose Roberto improve his crop and improve his family's living conditions.
