A loan helped to buy a solar lighting kit that will improve the quality of life of his family.

Santos's story

At 48 years old, one of Santos' aspirations is for his family to have a good quality of life. He lives with his wife and four children and together they have been dedicated to agriculture since they were very young. In the community of Olancho, Honduras where he lives, there is no access to electricity, but that has not prevented him from working in agriculture. However, although his work has not been affected, he and his family have suffered for many years from not having access to a better quality of life that electricity offers. For a long time they have been forced to buy candles, batteries for lamps, and walk long distances to have access to charge their cell phone. Above all they have been exposed to the damage to health that kerosene and candles cause. It is for this reason that he is requesting a loan from Soluz Honduras to buy a solar lighting system, to continue getting up very early to work and not have difficulties with household chores at night. He is sure that the solar system will help him work more productively and improve his life and that of his family, since they will not be exposed to toxic gases or fumes.
