Having worked in fine dining restaurants motivated me to bring 5-star service to a casual place with good food, this has made Amor y Sal in San Juan Puerto Rico one of the favorites for Brunch and Dinner since people feel well-treated and they eat deliciously. My goal is to take Amor Y Sal to the next level by eventually opening two more branches.
What is the purpose of this loan?
My place, which I have been in for 5 years, does not have a power generator and the electricity service fails a lot. With this loan we will install air conditioning system that consumes less energy and a electric generator so that when there is no electric service, we will not interrupt operations and continue providing quality service to our customers at all times.

We offer some Lending Partners the option to protect themselves against currency fluctuations by choosing to pass on these losses to Kiva lenders. By bearing this risk, lenders protect the partner and its borrowers from catastrophic currency devaluations and contribute to the sustainability of their operations.
Potential for currency exchange loss is noted on every loan profile under the loan details:
"Yes" means the Lending Partner will cover any currency loss. Lenders will not bear losses due to currency fluctuation
"Partial" means that the Lending Partner has opted to cover losses only up to 10%. If the U.S. dollar appreciates more than 10% against the local currency, those losses will be passed onto lenders.
