A loan helped to rehabilitate 4.22 acres of cacao.

Jose Angel's story

José Ángel is a cacao producer, hardworking and dedicated to agriculture for 30 years. He is 57 years old. He manages a 7.74 hectare farm under the Rainforest Alliance certification criteria, of which 4.92 are designated for growing cacao but, in addition to this, he also harvests bananas and basic grains. But, the primary crop which generates the necessary income for him is cacao.

In this cycle, he is asking for a loan to be invested in the purchase of vegetative materials and pay labor costs to be able to rehabilitate 4.22 acres of cacao with new plants. The investment will have a return after the second year. In this season, he generates three jobs for people in his community. This is his first loan with PACSA.
