A loan helped to buy 20 piglets and produce affordable meat for her community.

Yoana Esther's story

Meet Yoana Esther!

She lives in the farming community of Rio Venao and dedicates to agriculture to support her family.

Today, she is applying for her first Kiva loan to buy 20 piglets and pig feed, so she can grow her small pig production enterprise.

With her small business, she is aiming to generate income for her family, produce affordable food and generate opportunities for young people in her rural town.

Thank you for supporting woman farmers from communities that have been historically excluded from basic financial services.

This loan is special because:

It empowers the most vulnerable women in Central America by extending access to financial services.
