A loan helped to buy shellfish, baskets, bags, and a motor for her boat.

Maria Fernanda's story

Fernanda is a young single mother who is 25 years of age. She and her two children live at a relative’s house so that she can avoid paying rent. Her main source of income is selling seafood, especially shellfish according to weight. Fernanda has customers who always visit her vending stall because she offers fresh products “straight from the sea and into the pot”.

She wants to expand her business by offering her customers more variety. For this reason, she is requesting a loan to buy shellfish, baskets, bags, and a motor for her boat. In the future, she hopes to have a space where she can offer all types of seafood. Through her business, she hopes to acquire a house where she can live with her children.
