Guanajuato Group's story

The group "Guanajuato” is made of entrepreneurial women. They balance their businesses with the care taking of their families. They live in working class neighborhoods where the quality of life is mediocre.

Elizabeth is a single mother and she has two children. Her son is already married and her daughter is studying in university. She also takes care of her elderly father. She has been able to provide a better quality of life for them with her business.

Her business has been selling fish, shrimp, octopus and fish filets for 15 years.

She states that this business has allowed her to earn the necessary income for her family. Currently, she works alone with the help of her father. She works to provide economically for her household. She has clients that buy from her business daily and she does home deliveries.

With her loan she will buy inventory for her business such as fish, shrimps, filets, oysters and other related products.

With the previous loan she was able to perform maintenance to the freezers.

Elizabeth aspires to be able to buy bigger freezers that have more capacity.

The group is formed by the following members: Ingrid, Luz, Gloria, Fernanda, Dulce. They are responsible women that aspire to expand their businesses to generate better incomes and continue supporting their families.
