A loan helped a member to buy and sell beef and pork.

Los Almendros Group's story

The 'los Almendros' group is made up of two people, a man and a woman, who are both proactive in their businesses.

Urbey is married and has two children, one attends primary school and the other high school. Through her business, she has been able to give them a better quality of life.

She makes a living buying and selling beef, chicken, pork, chorizo and pork scratchings, a business she started 8 years ago.

This business has enabled her to earn the income she needs. She now works alone and her husband works as a builder, providing an additional income to financially support the household. She has customers who buy from her and she also provides home delivery.

Urbey hopes to kit out her butchers shop with saws and larger grinders.

The other member of the group is Gustavo. They are both diligent people, aspiring to grow their business in order to increase their income and continue supporting their family.

In this group: Gustavo, Maria Urbey
