Josefa Guillermina's story

Josefa is an older woman from Zapatillo in the coastal region of Ecuador. She is a humble and hardworking woman. She lives with her spouse with whom she works in farming. Her principal crop is cacao, which she has grown for 10 years.

The variety of her cacao is CC1, which is a very good quality. Nevertheless, harvest relies on the care that is given to the plant during its development.

This is why Josefa is looking for the support of a loan which will allow her to buy the agricultural inputs needed to provide good maintenance to the crop and thus successfully obtain good production.

In the future she plans to plant another hectare to continue strengthening the main source of income that she and her husband have available to be able to support themselves during their old age.
