A loan helped buy more cereals and grains for sale.

Ayisha's story

Ayisha is a 28-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband in Savelugu district in Ghana. With her previous Kiva loan, she expanded her business in the sale of cereals and grains. She used the profits she earned to reinvest in her business.

Ayisha is requesting another loan to buy more cereals and grains to sell. She plans to use the profits she earns to support her family's daily needs.

She will repay the ‘social interest’ on her second loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a Camfed Learner Guide, facilitating classes from Camfed’s ‘My Better World’ program with students at her local secondary school, helping to build their self-esteem and motivating them to remain in school.

This loan is special because:

It provides 0% interest loans to entrepreneurs that give back to their community by mentoring.
