A loan helped to buy agricultural inputs and seeds.

Gabriela Dayanna's story

Mrs. Gabriela is a hard-working, very charismatic young woman. She lives with her husband and her three children, who are still very small and not of school age. She and her family live in a small family home that is lent to her, so that she does not have to pay rent. Here she and her husband have worked for four years, planting cocoa in the San Joaquín sector on her parents' land.

Her agricultural techniques differentiate her from other farmers, because of the organic care they give to their crops. Gabriela dreams of expanding her crops until she becomes a large wholesaler, growing and marketing cocoa. To achieve this dream she is starting little by little with her first loan, with which she will buy agricultural inputs, seeds, and work tools. In this manner she will achieve economic stability.
