A loan helped to buy potato seeds.

Hector Bayardo's story

Héctor is 54 years old and is a determined person who seeks to get ahead following a divorce in which he lost his house and his family. He now lives in a rented house located in the San Jose neighborhood.

Hector began farming four years ago, his main crop being potatoes. He gets specialized technical help from agricultural engineers which helps him reduce the risk of diseases and infestations of his crops. Support from this loan will help him increase his quintals of seed for added production. His goal is to plant 100 quintals, which of course requires additional capital to maintain.

Hector aspires to be successful and to earn the income he needs to buy a plot of land and build a house so he can begin to rebuild his life.
