I am from Venezuela, I studied at the University and obtained a bachelor's degree in Tax Administration, after graduating I studied to obtain the insurance agent license. When I obtained the license I formed my office and worked in it for more than 12 years. Everything was moving forward until in 2021 I had to make a very difficult decision, due to the political and economic situation in my country, I was forced to close my office and move to the United States with my family.
Starting from scratch was a challenge for everyone; a new language, a new culture, but my desire to get ahead and my faith in God was what gave me the strength to continue. I studied and worked a lot, but after so much effort I managed to obtain all the licenses to be an insurance agent in this great country and today I already have my insurance agency in the process of growing.
I think that perseverance and discipline are the fundamental factors to achieve goals and I have learned that hard times make us strong and compassionate people with others, for all this I know that today I am a better person and I thank God for everything I have learned in this great country.

Business Description
The idea of forming my insurance agency was born when I arrived in the United States and thanks to the experience I gained for so many years in Venezuela it was a little easier to understand the complexity of this business in this country.
I obtained the licenses in 2023 but after obtaining them I understood that the best way to work in this business was to form my independent insurance agency and not as an employee of an insurance company. Being independent gives me the freedom to partner with many different insurance companies; This is in order to give our clients multiple options since each client has a particular situation or risk that some companies do not accept but others do and thanks to the multiple options we have, the Madison community has had a very good acceptance of my business.
Another important point that we have innovated is that in my agency we are agents of multiple lines, this means that we are authorized by the State to offer and help people in all the lines of business that exist. Our clients can obtain health policies, life policies, annulment plans, policies for personal and commercial cars, policies for businesses, homes, among many others. We are perhaps the only agency in the city of Madison with this operational capacity since most of the agencies I know are only dedicated to one or two lines of business. Anyone who comes with us will be able to satisfy any insurance need in one place.
It is also important to highlight that we are Spanish-speaking agents. Speaking Spanish has given us a strategic advantage in the community since we can provide a more effective service to each person who has difficulty speaking English and in this way create a bond of loyalty with the agency.
We have the knowledge and experience and want to put it all to benefit our community of Madison and the surrounding areas.
What is the purpose of this loan?
I am requesting this loan since I am starting operations with my company and we need a boost to have an adequate physical space to offer excellent service to all our policyholders.
If I obtain the loan, my company will be able to invest in the fundamentals to begin to have visibility. This loan will also help us buy the equipment and systems necessary for the rapid and safe development of our operations.

"Yes" means the Lending Partner will cover any currency loss. Lenders will not bear losses due to currency fluctuation
"Partial" means that the Lending Partner has opted to cover losses only up to 10%. If the U.S. dollar appreciates more than 10% against the local currency, those losses will be passed onto lenders.
"No" means that the Lending Partner is not covering any currency losses and all losses will be passed onto lenders.
"N/A" means the Lending Partner disburses loans to borrowers in USD so their loans are not subject to any currency fluctuation.
Do Kiva borrowers pay any interest on their loans?
Our partners collect interest from borrowers because there are many operational expenses associated with microfinance in developing markets, especially in rural areas. Many of Kiva's Lending Partners also provide additional services alongside their loan products such as business training, financial literacy lessons, or health services.
Kiva will not partner with an organization that charges unreasonable interest rates, and we require Lending Partners to fully disclose their rates. In addition, we only partner with microfinance institutions and organizations that have a social mission to serve the poor, unbanked, and underserved.
