A loan helped a Hispanic family open a Tortilleria shop in Douglas, Arizona.

Marco's story

My wife, Angelica and I are excited to open a Tortilleria in Douglas, Arizona. We are both from Mexico. I was born and raised in a small border town in Mexico. Growing up, I realized I had a passion for being an entrepreneur and having my own business. By the time I was 20 years old, I had already saved enough money to build my company from scratch - a tortilleria shop in my hometown.
Over 18 years, my dedication, hard work, and love for my business allowed me to successfully expand and open a new Tortilleria with significantly increased sales. In total, I managed 17 employees across both businesses.
I moved to the United States to give my children a better life and to pursue my passion for running a family business.

My goal is to expand my business, selling fresh, all-natural tortillas in nearby towns, and providing job opportunities to the community. Our grand opening will be this August 2nd.
