Leoncio Joselito's story

Leoncio is a 61 year-old man who is divorced. He lives in the community of San Gabriel Bajo, on a cocoa farm that also produces oranges. He sells raw cacao in pulp, dried cocoa seeds, and oranges. Leoncio has more than 30 years of experience growing these crops, which he cultivates on his own land and the land of relatives who allow him to work without complications.

Leoncio is requesting a loan from Banco Visionfund Ecuador. He's been working with loans from this institution for more than 3 years, in order to buy agricultural supplies that he needs to keep his crops free of diseases and insects. His goal is to produce quality crops which will generate an income that will allow him to remodel his home, which needs some work to make the house more comfortable.
