A loan helped to buy mulberry and rolls of tapa-paper for her business of making tapa fabrics.

Mele's story

Mele is a 74 year-old widow, who has been making tapas for more than half of her life. She has four grown-ups, and she raised and provide for them, through her tapa-making.

Mele still joins the process of making the tapas every Saturday, still design her own tapas, and even prepare her soft tapas. She is living with one of her grand-daughters, and she is helping Mele with her soft tapas.

She wants this loan to buy mulberry and rolls of tapa-paper to support her business. Not all her tapas are for sale. She saves some for her family and church functions.
