James's story

James is a refugee father of 6 children. He, along with his family, stay in Yumbe, which is in the West Nile region of Uganda. Leaving the comfort of his home and coming to Uganda was a very difficult thing for him, but rather than die, he moved to Uganda.

Today he is a farmer who grows millet, sorghum, cassava, and maize. Besides this he also has a small shop that sells variety of home consumption goods. He has many customers and has demand for food as well as other products. He would like to add stock to the shop so that he will be able to boost his sells.

His business has really expanded, and he is very happy that with this he will be able to change the life of his family and he is really looking at the future with confidence. With this addition he will be able to boost his sales, pay school fees and his plan is to buy a motorcycle which will enable him to get extra income.

Without the support of VisionFund and Kiva he would not be able to be who he is today. He is very glad for the support that he has been given.
