Bertha Beatriz's story

This is Bertha, an indigenous farmer who lives with her family made up of her husband and three children in the community of Guamote. Here, she and her husband work in agricultural work such as raising animals and growing corn, and so they obtain their income with which they support their humble home.

Bertha wants to increase her animals and crops, but to do so she is requesting a loan with which to buy pigs, guinea pigs, chickens, and inputs such as fertilizers, compost, and seeds. This way, she will have the working capital to boost her agricultural activities which she hopes in the future will yield the necessary income to provide her children with a higher education so they can become good professionals.
