A loan helped to buy certified seeds of corn and agricultural supplies.

Luz Hermelinda's story

Luz, age 67, is an older woman who is divorced and lives in her little house located in the Plaza Arena sector. Her children are independent adults, but she always cares about her family.

Luz is not able to do hard work due to her advanced age. Therefore she opted to grow corn and beans, because their care does not require much effort.

She seeks her first loan from the lenders to buy certified seeds of corn and agricultural supplies necessary for adequate maintenance of the crop. Her idea for future improvement is to begin raising small animals to be able to live from her own efforts.

Luz is grateful for the inclusion and support provided by Banco Vision Fund Ecuador and Kiva. She aspires to have good health to continue sharing good times with her family.
