A loan helped to buy balanced feed for his animals and improve his workshop.

Pedro Miguel's story

Pedro, aged 43, is single and the father of a son. He lives with his parents in his own house in the district of Tambogrande, a rural area in the province of Piura, located in the region of the same name, over 4 hours from the city of Chiclayo, the capital of the region of Lambayeque. They lack basic services like water and electricity.

For five years Pedro has been breeding sheep. In addition, he manufactures and sells bricks. He does these activities on his own plot of land near his house. He sells the sheep and the bricks at the local market and can count on a stable and loyal clientele.

Pedro applied for a loan to buy balanced feed for his sheep. He also wants to expand his brickworks activity. Therefore he thought that it was appropriate to apply for a loan of 1,500 nuevos soles from the microfinance institution Edpyme Alternativa.
