Aleyda, 38, makes and sells nacatamales, toffees, tortillas and ground coffee. She started her business with the help of her mother who taught her how to prepare these dishes as she also was in business selling fried foods.

She is applying for a Kiva loan through Fundenuse to buy corn, lime, firewood, condiments, meat, coffee, sugar, potatoes, etc. Her goal is to build a house.

She belongs to the Las Mesas en Acción Group along with Andrea who sells plastic products and Roger who sells ground coffee.
