Mayra is a young woman from the countryside who lives with her partner who is the father of their three children. She has earned her living from agriculture since she was very young when she used to go with her parents to milk the cows, move the milking and dry dairy cattle, and plant the seed potatoes which are grown in the area.
For these reasons Mayra has the experience necessary now to care for her own dairy cattle which she has gradually been expanding with financial help from the Kiva organization. She wishes to continue receiving these loans to buy a milk cow, a heifer, vitamins, specialized feed, and other food supplements which she will use to feed to her animals. She hopes in this way to increase milk production which she can sell to the milkman and earn money to improve the living standards of her family.
