A loan helped to purchase an embroidery machine to speed up her work.

Gulnora's story

Gulnora is a 57-year-old resident of the city of Shahriston. She works doing hand embroidery on traditional items, a skill she learned at the Centre for Professional Women's Education. "Embroidery is labour-intensive work that requires total efficiency," Gulnora says. "In order to become proficient at this craft, you have to love what you are doing." She does embroidery for herself, for her family and for customers she finds among local residents. She occupies most of her time with embroidery as well as raising her five children, and manages to do it all.

Gulnora is looking for a loan to buy an embroidery machine, which will help speed up her workflow.
