A loan helped to stock more foodstuffs and other essentials for her restaurant.

Leah's story

Introducing Leah, a dedicated 58-year-old entrepreneur. Married with two children, Beth (24) and Nancy (20), Leah's spouse is a butcher, and they support each other. Leah runs a restaurant business, which provides good profits, but she seeks financial support to elevate her business.

Leah needs a loan to buy stock of flour, rice, and beans to meet customer demand. Her main challenge is a lack of funds to buy a variety of foodstuffs, causing customers to seek alternatives. The loan will help her stock these items and meet demand, with profits used to repay the loan. Her business contributes to the community by employing one person and offering affordable food.

This is her fourth loan with ECLOF Kenya. Previous loans helped buy a dairy cow and boost her restaurant business. Leah dreams of building a sustainable business to educate her children and secure their future. She advises others to use ECLOF Kenya loans wisely and repay on time.

This loan is special because:

It gives financial access to low income micro-entrepreneurs.
