Beatriz Concepcion's story

Beatriz Concepcion is 25 years old. She is in a common-law relationship and they have 3 children, ages 8, 5 and 1 month old. Her husband works in a banana plantation. They live in the city of Portoviejo, the capital of Manabí, known for many years as the city of the Royal Tamarindos.

She is a hard-working woman who is looking for a way to earn her resources and with them she will help her husband to support their home and their small children. She and her father have a business selling fruits and vegetables from a stall in the local market. There every day they sell onions, carrots, potatoes, vegetables, cauliflower, apples, grapes and other products to their customers who come to the place to stock up on groceries for daily living.
