A loan helped to buy coconuts, fish, peanuts, meat, and ingredients needed to make bocadillos (a type of candy common in Ecuador). Her dream is for her children to find professional success.

Maria Auxiliadora's story

Maria Auxiliadora and her family live in the city of Portoviejo. It is the capital of Manabí province and has long been known as the city of Royal Tamarind Trees.

Maria is a hardworking woman looking to earn money to help her family get ahead. Thanks to her prior loans, she is finding success in this endeavor. For that, she is very grateful and is requesting continued support.

She works preparing and selling empanadas and corviches (fritters made from fish and green plantain). She makes them to order and serves them alongside juice or soda. On the weekends, she sets up a small food stall on the city's main avenue. Customers come for her renowned bocadillos (a type of candy common in Ecuador). Her husband also works selling coconut water.

Her loans have always been of great help to her. This loan is to buy coconuts, fish, peanuts, meat, and ingredients needed to make bocadillos. Her dream is for her children to find professional success.
