Marco Vicente's story

Marco is a cheerful man who is very dedicated to his family. He lives with his wife and his daughter in a cement house that a family member loaned to him. Along with his wife, he works in the field, and in his free time he goes to work the land as a day laborer. His small daughter, due to her young age, doesn’t go to school and spends time with them while they are working and is carried on the back of her mother. This makes Marco sad because he doesn’t like to see his small one in these conditions. But he prefers this to leaving her at a care center.

Marco and his wife have worked growing peppers for four years because they have extensive experience with this type of crop since from a young age they helped their respective parents with work in the field. Marco and his wife try to have an organic crop. This is why they do their fertilizing with waste from guinea pigs and hens and compost they make with spoiled fruits, taking care of their crops organically. They want to expand their planting and diversify at the same time. For that reason, he is requesting a loan with which he will purchase seeds, organic compost, fertilizers, compost, and other supplies. This is how he is hoping to obtain greater income with which one day he will have his own house and better opportunities for his daughter.
