A loan helped to set up a tailoring business.

Ruci's story

Being a single mother of 3 children doesn't stop Ruci from working hard in order to provide for her children. Since the festive season is near and she has tailoring experience, Ruci decided to set up a tailoring shop in their home sewing uniforms, sulu jaba (Fijian traditional clothing), bedding, and many more. With this, she is requesting a loan to help her buy a sewing machine, some threads, and also a few matching materials.

This will not only help the Naroro villagers from traveling to the tailor in town, but also boost up Ruci's business so she will be able to cater for her children's needs.

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
