Ericka is currently twenty-two years old, single, and lives with her parents and two siblings. She went to school for nine years. She regrets not continuing to study and knows that higher education is essential for a prosperous future. For this reason, she wants to go back to school next year to be a nurse.
She has liked to be financially independent, have her own business, generate income, and be able to pay her personal and household expenses. For ten years, Ericka has worked selling natural medicines, dietary supplements, and honey. She sells at a stand outside the local market and, thanks to the support of her mother and siblings, manages to serve her customers.
Ericka asks for her second Kiva loan as she wants to continue injecting capital into the business. With the capital, she will purchase more medicines and dietary supplements. She continues to dream of having her own retail space to display her products and have more variety.
Ericka is from the department/state of Quetzaltenanga. Thanks to the personalized technical training she has received with her business developer in Friendship Bridge's Puente de Éxito program, she has applied new strategies which have brought her to manage her business better.
Thank you, Kiva lenders, for supporting entrepreneurial women such as Ericka.
