Amparo Auxiliadora is 43 years old. Her husband passed away some time ago and she has three children -- two older children and one six-year-old. They live in the Colon parish in the canton of Portoviejo, an agricultural area of hard-working people dedicated to farming and animal husbandry.
Amparo Auxiliadora is a hard-working woman who seeks ways to earn her own income and use it to provide for her children on her own, as she is now both mother and father. Life in the countryside is very difficult for her because there are no basic services such as roads and health and education systems; despite these needs she tries to continue her work.
She makes a living in agriculture and has several hectares of cacao crops. With the help of loans, she hopes to improve her crops and thus increase her production and income.
This loan is for the purchase of organic fertilizer and insecticide to improve her crops and production.
