Socorro's story

Socorro lives in the rural settlement of Dos Caminos, municipality of Gualmatán, department of Nariño in the southwest of Colombia.

Socorro is 64 years old and married. Her husband makes a living as a cabinetmaker. They have three children, of which one daughter lives with them. She is a student and also makes a living raising livestock.

For more than 30 years, Socorro has worked with dairy cows, raised cows for fattening and guinea pigs, and done day labor. With this work she has been able to contribute financially to her home and increase her working capital and assets.

Socorro is requesting a loan for 2,077,000 COP to invest in the purchase of a cow.
