A loan helped to buy pigs and small chickens, feed, clothing, makeup, underwear, etc.

Kethy Maria's story

Kethy Maria and her family live in the city of Portoviejo which was affected by the April 16, 2016 earthquake. The city is rich in the production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruit for domestic consumption.

Kethy Maria is a teacher in the villages where she is paid a monthly salary for her work. In her free time, she sells various products such as clothing, makeup, underwear, home goods, and costume jewelry. She sells on credit and collects every eight days. She also raises pigs and chickens that she sells to merchants who come to buy them from her.

She is very grateful for the loans because they have caused her sales to increase. This loan is to buy pigs and small chickens, feed, clothing, makeup, underwear, etc.
