A loan helped to buy jeans, blouses, shirts, shorts, outfits for children, robes, hoodies, etc.

Bertha Maria's story

Bertha Maria and her family live in the city of Portoviejo which was affected by the April 16, 2016 earthquake. The city is rich in the production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruit for domestic consumption.

Bertha Maria is very grateful for the loans because with them, her sales have increased. She sells from home and has routes throughout sections of the city where her customers are. She sells clothing for women, men and children, selling on credit and collecting once per week. She also sells at fairs.

This loan is to buy jeans, blouses, shirts, shorts, children's outfits, robes, hoodies, etc.

Translated from Spanish by Kiva volunteer Marcia Margolis.
