A loan helped to buy quintals of rice and to pay for transportation.

Jessenia Cleotilde's story

Jessenia Cleotilde lives in the city of Portoviejo. It was affected by the earthquake of April 16, 2016. The city is rich in the production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruit for domestic consumption.

Jessenia Cleotilde works for a public institution Monday through Friday. She is paid monthly for her work. At home, she has a small store where she sells quintals of rice, which she buys at distribution centers and from farmers at good prices. She sells them over social media, and WhatsApp. She also makes home deliveries. Jessenia Cleotilde is very grateful for the loans, as her sales have increased.

This loan is to buy quintals of rice and to pay for transportation.
