A loan helped to buy piglets, chickens, livestock feed, water dispensers, corn, medicines, and other supplies.

Christian Alexander's story

Christian Alexander and his family live in the city of Portoviejo, which was affected by an earthquake on April 16, 2016. This city is rich in its production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruits for domestic consumption.

Christian Alexander is very grateful for the loans because his sales have increased. In their spare time, he and his father raise and sell chickens and pigs on a few plots of land where they have pens set up. When the animals are large enough, they are butchered and sold by the pound to markets, stores, restaurants, and neighbors. Christian Alexander also works on another farm Monday through Friday and is paid a monthly wage.

This loan will be used to buy piglets, chickens, livestock feed, water dispensers, corn, medicines, and other supplies.
