A loan helped to stock more salon products such as weaves to boost her salon.

Scola's story

Since her separation, Scola, a resilient 36-year-old entrepreneur from Busia, has single-handedly supported her three children, aged 15, 12 and 4, as well as her mother. Scola's thriving salon business, specializing in hair styling and selling hair products like braids, is her passion and primary income source.

Seeking a loan, Scola aims to replenish her salon's stock of hair products, including braids, wigs, shampoo, and hair treatments. Low inventory hampers her ability to serve clients effectively. The loan will help her boost stock levels and meet her customers' needs better.

Scola's salon not only addresses the beauty needs of the local community but also provides employment opportunities, especially for women. She has successfully repaid various loans from ECLOF Kenya, including one for her M-Pesa agent business.

Scola hopes to secure a bright future for her children through education and expand her business ventures. She expresses gratitude to lenders for their crucial support in her family and business aspirations.
