Madame Fatoumata, who is in the photo with her hand raised, is the group representative. She is married, 52 years old, the mother of 8 children (3 of which are girls), and has 2 other people in her care. She has been selling seasonal fruit and sugar for the past few years. She gets her supply of sugar in town and gets the fruit from neighboring villages.

The money she makes will help her support daily expenses but will also go toward reinforcing her savings.
