A loan helped to buy new nets and gear.

Cakacaka's story

Providing for 6 children is a struggle for 36-year-old single mother Cakacaka. She will use her loan to buy new nets and gear so that she can catch more fish to sell in the market. A bigger haul will make it worthwhile selling her catch at the busy town market rather than just hawking it around her village. Cakacaka hopes this income will improve her children’s lives and support their future schooling.

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
