Madam Arame, aged 36 or 37, leads the Tackou Ligueye Bou Fass Group, which means "work" in English. She is the light-skinned woman seated and holding the sheep by the rope. She has been rearing animals for 15 years.
Madam Arame is married with 5 children who all attend school. She lives in the Tambacounda region in Senegal, where she runs her business just like all the other members of the group.
Madam Arame is not educated. She is a hard-working woman who dreams of expanding her herd in order to increase her profits, estimated at 3,233,000 CFA Francs (XOF) after caring for them well. She buys her sheep at the weekly markets and then resells them a few months later for a good price by taking them around the markets. In this way, she is able to meet her needs.
Madam Arame is taking out a loan to buy sheep only. However, she sometimes has to deal with illness or theft of her livestock, which can be obstacles to meeting her goals.
