Farlou Bou Fass Group's story

Khayta is 35 years old. She is the president of the Farlou Bou Fass Group which means ambitious in English. She is the woman with light colored skin sitting on the bench wearing a multi-colored boubou (dress).

She has been earning a living raising animals for 15 years. She is married and has two children aged 6 and 12 years old who go to school. She lives in Tambacounda, a region in Senegal where she operates her business like the other group members.

Khayta had no education. She is a hard-working women who dreams of increasing her herd in order to increase her profits estimated at 3,295,500 XOF if they are well kept. She buys the sheep at the weekly markets. After a few months she will sell them itinerantly at the markets at a good price. Doing this she can satisfy her needs.

Khayta is taking this loan to buy sheep. However she sometimes has to deal with theft and sickness which can be obstacles to reaching her objectives.
