This group was set up in November 2004. The group is made up of women who all live in the same area and have very strong bonds of kinship and solidarity. Their main business is fattening livestock.

Fatou, the group representative, is married and has nine children. She is a farmer with several years' experience. She fattens livestock, and buys sheep and cattle at the nearby weekly markets. She fattens them for a few months and resells them at the market in her town.

With this loan, she is managing to keep her business going. In addition, the resultant benefits will enable her to save money, so that she can boost her business and provide for her family's needs.
