My name is Bibiana. I was born in Toluca, Mexico, the eldest of three siblings. I come from a humble, loving and united family. My parents instilled in me responsibility and resilience. From a young age, I aspired to dedicate myself to religion to help others, and later, I dreamed of becoming a chef. However, financial constraints prevented me from pursuing culinary studies.
I began studying law with my fiancé, but our plans were shattered when he was diagnosed with cancer and passed away. Devastated, I fell into a deep depression and abandoned my studies. Seeking a fresh start, I moved to Tijuana, where I lived for 10 years. I worked in a call center and various sales jobs, but I faced significant health challenges, including tuberculosis.
In 2015, I moved to Nebraska with my husband and devoted myself to raising our two children. Despite finding joy in caring for them, we endured abuse and many hardships. These trials fueled my determination to fight for a better life for my children and me.
Overcoming the language barrier through dedication and effort, I eventually separated from my husband and sought a new beginning. In 2018, we relocated to Monroe, Wisconsin. There, I worked diligently in hotels, houses, and a cheese factory, always striving to be responsible and reliable. The struggle to find trustworthy childcare inspired me to create a safe, nurturing environment where children could learn, feel loved, and be well cared for.
This is my story of resilience, a testament to the strength of the human spirit. Despite life's adversities, I have risen above them. My journey is a reminder that no matter how difficult life gets, perseverance can lead to triumph. My story proves that no matter the obstacles, there is always a way to overcome.

Business Description
My mother was my strength. After she passed, I came to the U.S. and created this childcare center in her honor. Also, my four children are my greatest inspiration. Their smiles and dreams drive me to overcome obstacles and give them the best. To ensure their well-being, I started a business to care for them and other children, nurturing values and creating beautiful memories.
In 2020, I began childcare courses, and in 2021, I started caring for children at home. Today, we care for 12 children and need a larger space. We operate five days a week, from 4:30 am to 5:00 pm, pouring our hearts into each day.
Our center offers a bilingual environment to introduce Spanish and maintain it for Spanish-speaking children. We serve fresh, nutritious meals prepared on-site, promoting healthy habits and cultural appreciation. This ensures every child feels valued and supported, creating a loving community where children thrive, and parents feel confident.
I also volunteer with various organizations in Wisconsin, fueling my passion for helping others.
My short-term goal is having a center for 50 children. In the medium term, I want to share this model and encourage women to start businesses. I also aim to collaborate with companies to offer childcare benefits to their employees.
I am committed to creating a nurturing environment for children and inspiring others to pursue their dreams. Together, we can build a brighter future filled with hope and possibility.
What is the purpose of this loan?
This loan would be an incredible opportunity to make my dream of creating a childcare center a reality. It would allow me to accommodate and care for more children, cover rent for a couple of months, and help me purchase the necessary furniture and equipment to ensure safe and comfortable spaces for the children's well-being. My vision is to create an environment where children can grow, learn, feel happy and calm, and express their emotions freely. To achieve this, it is crucial to understand and appreciate each child's unique personality.

Potential for currency exchange loss is noted on every loan profile under the loan details:
"Yes" means the Lending Partner will cover any currency loss. Lenders will not bear losses due to currency fluctuation
"Partial" means that the Lending Partner has opted to cover losses only up to 10%. If the U.S. dollar appreciates more than 10% against the local currency, those losses will be passed onto lenders.
"No" means that the Lending Partner is not covering any currency losses and all losses will be passed onto lenders.
"N/A" means the Lending Partner disburses loans to borrowers in USD so their loans are not subject to any currency fluctuation.
Do Kiva borrowers pay any interest on their loans?
Our partners collect interest from borrowers because there are many operational expenses associated with microfinance in developing markets, especially in rural areas. Many of Kiva's Lending Partners also provide additional services alongside their loan products such as business training, financial literacy lessons, or health services.
Kiva will not partner with an organization that charges unreasonable interest rates, and we require Lending Partners to fully disclose their rates. In addition, we only partner with microfinance institutions and organizations that have a social mission to serve the poor, unbanked, and underserved.
