A loan helped a member to buy boxes of fruit.

Keur Serigne Bara Group's story

This group is made up of 3 women who have a strong bond and support and help each other. They live in the same district and seized the opportunity to join a banc villageois when one was set up in their area in December 2008. Their main activity is trade.
Madame SAYE ( stood up in the far right of the photo with her hand raised ) is the group leader. She is 32 years old, married and has one child. She has a retail business selling fruit and has gained plenty of experience, having carried out this activity for more than a decade.
With the loan, she plans to buy some boxes of fruit which she will sell at the hospital. With the profits, she hopes to boost her savings, grow her business and help her husband with daily expenses.

In this group: Saye, Amy Dia
