A loan helped to purchase livestock to increase its number.

Nafira's story

This lovely woman Nafira is 59 years old, married and has three children. They are all adults and live separately. Nafira lives with 3 grandchildren of school age who are dependent on her. She has a secondary education and by nature she is a kind, responsible, and responsive person.

Nafira and her husband have been involved in agriculture as the main income for their family for 15 years, and they also have a grocery store. Thanks to Nafira’s hard work and with her husband’s help, today her farm has 10 cows and 8 sheep. Her home property offers good conditions for keeping livestock. The area where Nafira lives is perfect for animal husbandry. Every summer the animals go to green pastures for grazing.

In order to develop further her farm, she is asking Kiva to support her and lend her 200,000 soms (KGS) for the purchase of livestock in order to increase its number. This will certainly help improve the farm productivity and thereby the income.

Nafira hopes to achieve her desired outcome and create a better life for her family.
